I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Charlie Major UK tour

CHARLIE LANDSBOROUGH

MAJOR UK DATES THIS AUTUMN

Charlie Landsborough takes to the road again this Autumn on a series of major UK dates. Accompanied by his own four strong band, it will be the first chance to see him on home turf this year.

You might be forgiven for thinking you know what Charlie Landsborough is all about. Hugely popular in Ireland, purveyer of fine songs and the odd winsome C&W ballad…but there’s more, much more.

While Charlie Landsborough has long been a favourite of Country lovers world-wide he’s also more than adept at other genres.

From belting out an uptempo rocker to holding his head up high in the Americana stakes and adding his smooth tones to the most mellifluous of romantic tunes, Charlie has carved his own musical path.  Indeed he has, rather surprisingly, proved the sum is much more than the individual parts.

Charlie’s own history gives a clue to his accomplishments. His songs are drawn from personal experience – growing up in Birkenhead in a large but poor family, joining the army, teaching at schools, playing music in the evenings. It wasn’t until he hit 50 that he had his first big hit – What Colour Is The Wind – a song written round a question from a small blind child , the phrase overheard and given to him by singer/songwriter Pete Naden.

Since then Charlie has traveled the globe. His musical skill set is unquestionable, his songwriting is emotive and inspirational, his band accomplished and solid.

An evening with Charlie Landsborough is an evening of very good music indeed.  Throw in the added bonus of the stories he tells and you need look no further for an evening that’s hugely enjoyable, profoundly musical and extremely good value for money.

Tickets for Charlie’s new Autumn tour are on sale now from all usual venues; prices range from £16.60 - £28. The full list of dates is as follows.
