Lakota John and Kin , the self-titled debut album from John Lakota Locklear and his family, offers a blend of ancient Native American harmonies and traditional blues. Mama Tonya, Sweet Papa John and Sister Layla join Lakota John on this album, the first by the family on the Music Maker label. A proud Lumbee and Oglala Nation family of talented musicians, Lakota John and Kin are based out of Robeson County, North Carolina. Lakota John, at just 16-years-old, is a master guitarist with a voice that sounds beyond his years.
