MM Legend Dr. Burt Passes Away
We Will Miss Dr. Burt Dr. Burt Will Be Remembered Fondly By All Dom Flemons, Dr. Burt and Rhiannon Giddens at Dartmouth College We learned late last week that Dr. Burt , an iconic Music Maker arti st, passed away surrounded by family in Detroit. We knew that Dr. Burt was having serious health problems, but every time we spoke to him on the phone his outlook was sunny and positive. When Dr. Burt told Aaron that he would be moving to Detroit from his home in Birmingham to be cared for by family, Aaron asked him what Music Maker could do to help.
