cdkmusik artist: Cecile Doo-Kingue' - Anybody Listening Part 2:Dialogues - New Release Review
I just received the newest release, Anybody Listening Part 2: Dialogues , from Cecile Doo-Kingue and it's quite interesting. Opening with Riot and Revolution , a western flavored rocker, D-K leads on vocals and guitar with backing by Malika Tirolien (vocals), Fredy V (bass) and Anthony Pageot (drums). D-K's guitar style is aggressive and imaginative. Very cool! Sweet Talkin' Devil is a bottom heavy rocker with tight guitar punctuation. Title track, Anybody Listen ing, has a super groove with a soft jazzy delivery. Cedric Dind-Lavoie joins on bass and Daniel "DJ" Joseph adds cool guitar riffs to an already funky cool track. Very nice! Little Bit is a bright, poppy track with Nadia Bashalani and Wayne Tennant on backing vocals. D-K lays out a stiff, in your face guitar solo nicely contrasting this light laid track. Six Letters is an easy paced ballad with nicely articulated ballad featuring JC Doo-Kingue on dobro and Jesse Padgett on banjo. Simple and tight. Th...
