This is one of the permutations of the blues... a branch that grew from some basic ideas. George Clinton, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Al Green and a score of others pioneered totally different branches. If you have never seen george in concert you owe it to yourself (and if you missed the earlier post a few months back, check out Baggot Brain... it's great!(Son House would roll over in his grave if he saw all this mayhem!) George Clinton (born July 22, 1941) is an American singer, songwriter, bandleader, and music producer and the principal architect of P-Funk. He was the mastermind of the bands Parliament and Funkadelic during the 1970s and early 1980s, and launched a solo career in 1981. He has been cited as one of the foremost innovators of funk music, along with James Brown and Sly Stone.
