I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

The Peterson Brothers Fall Tour & Critical Acclaim!

(Austin, Texas) The Peterson Brothers' first recording is receiving critical acclaim and radio airplay across the country and beyond. They'll be touring this fall playing the noted King Biscuit Blues Festival and venues in Virginia, Florida, Arkansas and their home state, Texas. Keep up with their music! Join the family at: PetersonBrothersBand.com, Twitter: @PetersonBros, Facebook.com/petersonbrothersband.
Blue Point Records released the first recording of talented, young musicians Glenn and Alex Peterson, The Peterson Brothers (BPTCD 1502). The eleven tracks display the brothers’ diverse influences, some first forays into their own compositions and some solid adaptations of traditional and contemporary works. The brothers recorded with  Grammy Award and Blues Music Award winning producer Michael Freeman to achieve a sound which is both original and respectful of the blues. (www.bluepointrecords)

Here what's being said about the CD and their live performances.

“Teen Blues Brothers Make a Big Sound…Emerging blues teen titans The Peterson Brothers have released their first, self-titled album on Blue Point Records.”  – No Treble

“Creative new arrangements and impressive, energetic performances … Glenn Jr. is a very talented guitarist.  His solos are diverse and creative, and he never overplays… Vocally, he has a smooth, confident delivery and though he’s very good now, he will also get better with time.  Alex is a rock solid rhythm man on bass … Based on this superlative release, the future of the blues couldn’t be in better hands.” – Graham Clarke, Blues Bytes

“The debut album from the Bastrop teen duo delivers on the promise they’ve shown on the local club circuit...Guitarist Glenn Peterson Jr. and his younger brother Alex Peterson on bass prove their blues mettle… But the bulk of the record introduced their own instantly appealing material, from the playful groove of “Hey Baby” to soulful shuffle and swing versions of “I Gotta Go” to the fiery instrumental “Feelin’ Like Home.” – Peter Blackstock, Austin360.com

"Peterson Brothers embody the spirit of funky blues. Up by the front of the stage the vibe was cool and sweet as Glenn and Alex Peterson easily segued from wicked, funky break beats to slow blues jams rich with nuance and silky tones." – Deborah Sengupta-Stith, Austin360.com

“original arrangements and a fresh, bristling energy that seems to be a harbinger of what excitement the Peterson Brothers bring to their live shows and future recordings.” – Jim Hynes, Elmore

“rocking the blues with funky soul” – Mike Greenblatt, classicalite.com

ALT ROOT TOP TEN SONGS OF THE WEEK - #03 If You Love Me Like You Say - (from the album The Peterson Brothers on Blue Point Records) – The Alternate Root Magazine

"...the crop of younger black blues musicians who can take the tradition and transform it with their own identity is relatively slim...emerging up-and-comers include...the Peterson Brothers of Austin.” – Mark Guarino, The Washington Post

"Bastrop blues siblings got their mojo workin’....” – Jim Caligiuri, The Austin Chronicle

“Blues badasses!" – The Austin Chronicle

Across the country The Peterson Brothers is being heard on the radio. Last week they were #5 on Airplay Direct's Blues / Jazz / R&B; chart. A huge thanks to the DJ's and radio stations for broadcasting The Peterson Brothers.

The Things That i Used To Do - Peterson Brothers Band

The Peterson Brothers Band are keeping the Blues alive, thanks to inspiration from the legends of the past and present. Mentors including Pinetop Perkins, Buddy Guy, Bootsy Collins, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, Fernando Jones, and many others have supported the band through their experiences and their gifts. They pay homage to their heroes by showcasing their favorite songs, most written long before they were born. They honor their home with a familiar Texas sound, drawn from many local favorites such as W.C. Clark, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Gary Clark, Jr. Legendary venues, including Antone's, Gruene Hall and Saxon Pub have welcomed the Peterson Brothers Band many times.
