💿 ALBUM REVIEW: Leigh Pilzer - Keep Holding On

Image
Get ready to groove with Dr. Leigh Pilzer , the Washington, D.C. baritone sax powerhouse who proves that jazz is meant to be a living, breathing party, not a dusty museum piece. Described as a pure force of nature with a gruff, punchy, and assertive sound, Leigh brings a heavy dose of soulful grit to the stage. She has traded licks with the legendary Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra and even arranged horns for local legends like Chuck Brown and Eva Cassidy , and now she is bringing that deep, soulful swagger front and center with her vibrant new album, Keep Holding On. This record is a masterclass in pure, undeniable groove, packed with plenty of attitude, low-end bark, and raw energy that blues fans will instantly appreciate. Keep Holding On strikes the perfect balance between paying respect to the jazz heritage and absolutely cutting loose, making it an essential, high-energy addition to your playlist.   🎵 LISTEN & SUPPORT THE ALBUM   Keep Holding On by Leigh ...

New Release ; Baddest Band In The Land - The Weber Brothers - Review

Image
I just received and had the opportunity to review the newest release, "Baddest Band In The Land" by The Weber Brothers. The Weber Brothers are Ryan Weber: Upright Bass, Electric Bass, Vocals; Sam Weber: Guitar, Vocals; Shai Cookie Peer: Piano, Organ; Emmet Corndog VanEtten: Drums. This recording takes cues from many bands of the past like British rockers Badfinger and the Kinks, country rockers and arena bands... and topped off with piano licks which sound like Leon Russell is a guest artist and drum beat that tracks Bonzo. The release contains 13 original tunes, all which are precisely executed and demonstrating the Brothers own love of pop music. The common thread that runs throughout the entire recording is polish and epic execution. I believe that this recording will be well received by the music public as a whole. Enjoy “Like” Bman’s Facebook page (available in over 50 languages). I will not relay senseless nonsense. In this way I can get out the word on new talent,...
