I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Blues-Rock Guitar Ace Alastair Greene PlaysThe Olde Ship - Sat. Oct. 15

(SANTA ANA, Calif.) - There's New (Blues) Blood at The Olde Ship: Blues-Rock guitar ace Alastair Greene makes his performing debut there this Saturday, October 15. 8:30 p.m., no cover. The Olde Ship is at 1120 W. 17th St. Info: (714) 550-6700 or www.theoldeship.com.

The Santa Barbara-based musician has been honing his craft in the SoCal area since the early '90s, during which time he has shared the stage with some of the bigger names in the Blues including The Fabulous Thunderbirds, John Mayall, and Robin Trower, to name a few. Greene -- who co-headlined the Kern River Rock N' Blues Festival this past September and has been a headliner for the first two Real Blues Festival of Orange County events - also hosted a popular Blues night this past summer at The Savoy in Santa Barbara where such renowned names as harpists James Harman and Johnny Mastro were among the weekly guests.

Alastair Greene has been the touring guitarist in the Alan Parsons Project for the past couple years, a high-profile gig that has taken him around the world. Alastair is currently putting the finishing touches on his new CD Through The Rain, the follow-up to critically-lauded Walking In Circles (Riatsala Music). Guitar ace Ty Tabor from rock greats King's X duets with Greene on the track, "By The Way."
