         (TARZANA, CA) - One of the hottest new bands on the Southern California blues scene, Scorch Sisters, make a special appearance to perform at KCSN 88.5 on-air personality Ann The Raven's Birthday Bash taking place at Harper's Bar & Grille, 5545 Reseda Blvd. in Tarzana, this Sunday, July 10. 6 p.m.- till?         Ann the Raven has been a pillar of support to the Southern California blues community for almost two decades via her longtime radio shows at KPCC 89.3 and currently on KCSN 88.5, where the popular and extremely humorous deejay is heard every Saturday night from 6-9 p.m. Thank you for all you do for the Blues, Ann!!!

     Scorch Sisters continue to host their ever-growing All-Star Pro Blues Jam, at longtime venerable Hollywood venue the Pig N' Whistle. You never know who will show up and take the stage here- a jam that at various times has drawn the likes of musicians Kenny Wayne Shepard, Joe Bonamassa, Denny Seiwell, Steve Lukather, Bugs Henderson, and Matt Sorum, as well as actors Lou Diamond Philips and Charlene Tilton, among others. Pig N' Whistle is at 6714 Hollywood Blvd. (at Highland), in Hollywood; catch Scorch Sisters there on Thursday, July 21 and July 28 from 9:30 pm- midnite; $10.        In support of our troops overseas, the Scorch Sisters' music was recently       featured the entire week of June 12-18 as the Spotlight Artist heard around the globe on the American Veterans Radio network. Log onto www.avradio.org to listen in.  
       The recently-formed Scorch Sisters are a "super-group" of sorts whose principal members are highly-regarded SoCal musicians Francesca Capasso (vocals, percussion); Alicia McCracken Morgan (keyboards, vocals); and Kimberly "KC" Allison (guitars). Among the stellar bands and artists on the three ladies' collective musical resume's: Neil Young; Rod Stewart; Delaney Bramlett; Billy Vera and the Beaters; Joe Houston; Zola Moon; Don & Dewey; Bobby Womack; Melissa Etheridge; Spencer Davis; Carmine Appice; Randy Jackson; Some Like It Hot Revue; and Francesca and the Flames. Scorch Sisters made their performing debut at this past April's "Blues For The Rising Sun" benefit in Long Beach, followed by a headlining appearance at this past May's Real Blues Festival of Orange County 2.
