I Can't Let Go - The Suntones
Formed in 2009 in Fremantle Western Australia the Suntones are a four piece country/blues roots based band currently playing in and around Perth WA. The line-up is Chris Harwood -Acoustic upright bass/vocals, Steve Smith acoustic guitar/mandolin/vocals, Jeff Barham - Acoustic/Electric guitar, mandolin, Dobro and vocals, Andrew Smith - drums. The Sun Tones play a wide range of songs including country influenced originals and roots based covers that appeal to a diverse audience. The general approach is low volume and we specialise in unplugged or totally acoustic performances but are also comfortable in the electrified format. Our influences include The Dingoes, Steve Earle, Paul Kelly, Carl Perkins, JJ Cale, Lucinda Williams and Little Feat. The Suntones recently returned from a successful tour of the 2012 Tamworth Country Music Festival where they impressed audiences with their catchy originals and quirky covers.
