Roadhouse Redemption Records artist: The Porkroll Project - Papa Didn't raise Me Right - New Release Review

Image
I just had the opportunity to review the most recent release, P apa Didn't Raise Me Right, from The Porkroll Project , and it's a solid mix of rock, blues and country. Opening with title track, Papa Didn't Raise Me Right , lead singer and guitarist, Neil "Porkroll" Taylor is up front setting the mood, backed by Walter Runge on organ, Anthony Pieruccini on bass, and John Thomas on drums. Runge's organ work creates tension in the track, Cleveland lays out a really nice harp solo and Taylor hits a stiff guitar solo of his own. Very nice! Shuffle track, Not Tired Of Living , has an almost Elvin Bishop strut. Bonds has a cool swing and Taylor's guitar work, coupled with Cleveland's harp highlights leads to a full group chorus by Cl...
