“The Artie Lange Show” is DIRECTV’s bold and irreverent new late night talk show starring iconic comedian Artie Lange, best known for his hilarious stand-up routines and for his tenure with The Howard Stern Show.

“The Artie Lange Show” shoots at their state-of-the art SoHo loft studio in New York City and airs for three hours five nights a week, with musical guests are invited to perform two songs on their Guitar Center Sound Stage and participate in a full interview segment.

The simulcast reaches 23 million homes on DIRECTV’s Audience Network and an additional 20 million subscribers on SiriusXM Satellite Radio and also airs on stations in select terrestrial radio markets.

“We wanted to do it in London,” Joanne says about the recording and filming of Songs from the Road, “and the reason for picking The Borderline was because I wanted something small and intimate. I grew up being inspired by those small Stevie Ray Vaughan and Albert Collins club gigs, and I wanted to have that same ‘everyone-packed-in-like-sardines’ vibe – as opposed to a big production and losing some of that intimacy. And I’m really pleased with the way it turned out. It’s everything I wanted it to be.”

Songs from the Road is chock-full of energized songs from her first three studio albums, as well as some other special favorites of hers. “I think there’s a very different energy live: that’s probably the main thing,” she notes. “I’m a live guitar player. There’s definitely more guitar in my live show than on any of the albums. I tend to lose all sense of control once I get onstage and everything is twenty beats faster than it’s meant to be! And there were no overdubs, so what you hear is what you get.”

Since the release of her three previous CDs for Ruf Records, Joanne’s career has taken off both in the UK and in U.S. markets through consistent touring as well an extensive radio airplay and dynamite press.  It didn’t hurt that she was also watched by 17 million viewers world-wide as she played an angel-winged solo during Annie Lennox’s set at Queen Elizabeth’s 2012 Diamond Jubilee Concert.
