I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Red Light Dreamin - Dixie Fried

Craig Lamie - Guitar/Vocals

Craigs weapons of choice are a Gibson SG and a Fender Telecaster guitar ran through a Fender Blues Junior amp. His music loves range from Junior Kimburgh, The Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, Peter Green, Jimi Hendrix to North Mississippi Allstars. Previously with Mulehog, he, too, has played to credible-sized audiences, ripping up such well-known Glasgow venues as King Tut's, ABC2, and Ivory Blacks.

John Murphy - Drums

John's tools of the trade are a Pearl Export Drumkit & Paiste cymbals played with Vic Firth drumsticks. His musical influences range from The Black Crowes, Humble Pie, The Black Keys, RL Burnside, The Stone Roses to AC/DC. Prior to Dixie Fried, Murphy was a recording artist with much-loved alt-country outfit, The Scuffers, a regular performer at prestigious live music venues such as The Barrowlands, ABC, King Tut's, The Garage etc.

We are a couple of good mates, who have very similiar taste in good music. We have played in several different local bands over the last 10 years or so, but after just getting together every weekend for around a year getting very drunk and having a jam, we figured why the hell not let people hear our sound. To our complete surprise we found an audience of like minded people who also enjoy our take on good music. We play our take on the blues as good as 2 white guys from Scotland can.

We play deep down and dirty Mississippi Blues Rock, is our best description. Released our first EP on Big Rock Candy Records summer 2010. Album released 3rd July 2011.
