I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Tim Bastmeyer's Self-titled Sophomore Release Getting Great Airplay and Reviews

Tim Bastmeyer's Self-titled Sophomore Release Getting Great Airplay and Reviews
"Canadian blues singer/song writer Tim Bastmeyer has put together a CD that is tightly structured musically, and rhythmically. The emphasis being on the song and the lyrics more than free wheeling displays of instrumental virtuosity."
- Robert Carraher, The Dirty Lowdown

Released in November, 2011 the new CD from Tim Bastmeyer made Gonzo Online's Best of 2011 list, coming in at #8.
"This is the follow-up to 2010’s sparse, solo acoustic and darkly beautiful Graveyard. Bastmeyer has come up with another winner. Despite the fact that this self-titled album is a band record, the songs are simple and spaciously arranged. It’s elegant, sparse and intimate, a fine blues record."
- John Kereiff

Bman's Blues Report CD Review

Tim Bastmeyer is a Canadian blues singer/songwriter who started his musical career in 1986 and over the years has played and recorded with a number of different recording artists. He has performed throughout North America, as well as the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Scotland and England. Bastmeyer is also a producer, engineer, and music teacher. He has produced award-winning recordings and engineered countless recording projects (music and foley). Tim has taught hundreds of young musicians to play guitar, bass and drums.
Bastmeyer will head out on a tour of Canada and several U.S dates in 2012 to support the new release.
Featuring Juno award winning blues artist Julian Fauth on piano, James Thomson on bass and Corey Richardson on drums, this release is much different than Bastmeyer’s 2010 recording, a solo acoustic blues recording titled Graveyard. There are 11 tracks on the CD, featuring 10 originals and a cover of the blues classic ‘I’m Going Down’. It is a mix of hard blues with a rock edge and blues ballads.
