I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

HOW BLUE CAN YOU GET - THE ROBBERT FOSSEN BLUES BAND

This blues musician from Harlem, The Netherlands, was born in 1969. Robbert is a singer and plays harmonica and guitar. He started his musical 'career' in 1987 and played in several bands, like "A Crossroads Deal". Besides this, he has two other bands now, "The Robbert Fossen Bluesband". A six piece band that plays modern and oldschool Chicago Blues and Real Deal Chicago Blues Band "Bobby's Teardrops". Robbert sometimes (during European tours) is harmonica player with former Muddy Waters- and Magic Slim- sideman John Primer from Chicago (see video below). Robbert did several tours with the Legendary Tail Dragger from Chicago. With a ten piece band he toured with the incredible female singer Chick Rodgers. He did play (May 2007) with Charles Hayes and his Chicago Blues Band (Rick Kreher, Melvin Smith, Twist Turner) on the famous Spring Blues Festival in Ecaussinnes-Belgium (see pictures below). Robberts influences are Muddy Waters, Magic Slim, John Primer, Luke Longgone Miles, Taildragger, Buddy Guy, Jerry Portnoy, Little Walter and Big Walter. He shared the stage with John Primer, Nick Holt (Magic Slims brother), Willie Kent, James Wheeler and T Model Ford.
