I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Falling Rain Blues - Little' Willie Foster

photographer: Mike Rowe
Willie Foster born April 5, 1922 in Dublin, Mississippi. The career of Clarksdale-born harmonica player 'Little' Willie Foster took a nose dive when he incurred the wrath of label owner Al Benson for reporting him to the union. Reportedly Foster wasn't properly paid for the 1955 session that yielded the blues featured here. His career came to an end shortly afterwards when he was shot and wounded.Foster died November 25, 1987 in Chicago, Illinois
