I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Today Marks 20 Years Since Bill Graham's Passing Today Marks 20 Years Since Bill Graham's Passing
Steve Jobs was to the computer industry what Bill Graham was to the concert business. Both were abrasive, unapologetically brilliant visionaries that rewrote the rules of their businesses. The doors of perception for both were shaped by 60's idealism while the roads they drove to success were paved with streamline capitalism. A half million people paid homage to Graham at a wake after his death, as those grieving Jobs laid apples at the gates of his empire these past weeks. We honor one with a look at the posters for Fillmore shows, as we say thanks to both.

Laughter, Love & Music: Bill Graham Memorial Concert Laughter, Love & Music: Bill Graham Memorial Concert
A week after Bill Graham's untimely death in 1991, the Bill Graham Presents staff organized a free concert in Golden Gate Park featuring the Grateful Dead, CSN&Y, Santana, Journey, Jackson Browne, Joe Satriani and many other musicians and special guests; this playlist presents the entire day's worth of music. The gathering marked the end of an era, but a concert in the heart of where it all started was a truly fitting memorial: a celebration of Graham's life, filled with Laughter, Love and Music.

The Allmans were a bluesy-funky force to be reckoned with, as illustrated in this video, one of the many jewels of our collection. A poor vocal mix during the beginning of the song doesn't hamper the band for even a second, their performance building to a massive crescendo of slide guitar, harmonica an
