Sound Culture Presents: Sierra Leone's Refugee All-Stars Record Release June 2 Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars are a group of musicians who escaped Sierra Leone's civil war. The band formed at a West African refugee camp to keep their spirits and hopes alive. THIS WEEK AT MAYNE STAGE Classical Conversations An Intimate Evening with the Chicago Chamber Musicians May 2 Unwind after work with the Chicago Chamber Musicians at Mayne Stage! Mingle with other concert goers and enjoy drinks before, after or during the concert. You'll be a part of a lively, engaging conversation with the artists hosted by some of the top music figures in the industry before each concert. A Night of Chick Singer-Songwriters with Stephanie Rogers, Wendy Morgan, and Temple Schultz Be an a capella singing star! Throughout the night we will have an a capella song contest - first 10 to sign up at the door will get to sing. Perform 1-2 minute a capella song of your choice and at the end the audience will decide who will win. Rock and Roll Roots May 4 "Rock and Roll Roots" of Chicago hosted by Bob Sztroud with special guests Carl Giammarese (The Buckinghams) and Jim Peterik (Ides of March, Survivior co-founder, Grammy Winning Songwriter) Geoff Tate of Queensryche May 5 Queensryche front man Geoff Tate "And Friends" will perform an all-acoustic set at Mayne Stage!
