I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Robinson, who co-founded The Black Crowes with older brother Chris Robinson and drummer Steve Gorman during the mid-80s in Atlanta, already has two solo studio albums to his credit.  The first, "Paper," came in 2004 while his follow-up, "Through a Crooked Sun," arrived in 2011.

The first single off The Ceaseless Sight, an album that represents the full maturation of Robinson as a songwriter, a vocalist, and a solo artist, ‘One Road Hill’ will be released on April 8th and the Rich Robinson Band will tour through the year in support of its release.

More on Rich Robinson:

Robinson was born in 1969 and formed the The Black Crowes with his older brother Chris in Atlanta in the 1980’s. At the age of 17, Robinson began writing the music for the songs that would land on the band’s 1990 debut album, Shake Your Money Maker, which sold 7 million copies. Over the next 10 years, Rich’s songwriting evolved into the musical engine that powered the band to sales of more than 25 million albums. Before taking a hiatus in 2001, the Crowes catalog included classics like The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion, Amorica, By Your Side, and Live at the Greek: Excess All Areas, a double album that captured the teaming of Jimmy Page and The Black Crowes for performances of Led Zeppelin, Crowes and blues and rock standards.

The Crowes went on hiatus in 2001 and in 2004 Rich began his solo journey with the release of his first album, Paper. The record was largely an extension of Rich’s musicianship as a Black Crowe showcasing his stellar and under-rated guitar playing and, for the first time, Rich took on the role of lyricist and lead vocalist. Paste Magazine: “Rich Robinson brings back not only roots-rock accessibility, but the complexity and originality that transformed the Black Crowes into a band that mattered. Paper is filled with beautiful melodies and harmonies, creative guitar work, fitting instrumentation and, most of all, excellent songwriting.”

It would be seven years before his second solo album, Through A Crooked Sun, and an accompanying EP, Llama Blues, were released as the Crowes reunited in 2005 and were actively recording and touring until their second hiatus in 2010. Crooked Sun, a far more personal album than his first, was a collection of 12 songs that expressed the increasing spiritual and political awareness that Rich’s life had taken. Recorded in Woodstock in 2011, the album featured Joe Magistro, Steve Molitz and guest performances by Warren Haynes, Larry Campbell, Karl Berger, John Lindberg, and John Medeski.

A worldwide Black Crowes tour kept Robinson busy in 2013, but he found the time to return to Woodstock to record The Ceaseless Sight. The album finds Robinson stepping solidly into his own as a solo artist as he adds confident vocalist and lyricist to his accomplished musical resume.

Nina Persson, Iconic Singer from The Cardigans and A Camp, Signs with The End Records for New Solo Album

Nina Persson, Iconic Songstress from The Cardigans and A Camp, Signs With The End Records For New Solo Album

'ANIMAL HEART' TO BE RELEASED FEBRUARY 11th 2014

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New York, NY (December 20, 2013) - The End Records are proud to announce their recent signing of iconic songstress and lyricist Nina Persson, known world round as the singer from The Cardigans and for her project A Camp, for the North American release her new solo album due February 11, 2014.

An innovative video for title track 'Animal Heart' has been released, premiered via Stereogum, which follows Nina around a seemingly 'normal day', Stereogum explains below.
"The video follows Persson as she goes through a seemingly “normal” day, but as if on a film set; while she descends the steps of a Brooklyn-esque brownstone and fetches milk from the nearby market, “crew” members undress and redress her, a dance posse trails behind, and people carry backdrops to match the scenes in her lyrics. In her familiar pop soprano she cries “come be my man, babe hang on to me” over a twinkling synth." - Stereogum
Nina Persson came to fame with Swedish pop group The Cardigans, known world wide for such hits as 'Lovefool' - the group's first international hit single which topped the #1 Billboard Hot 100 Airplay and #1 Billboard Top 40 Mainstream charts, selling an excess of 2.5 million with overall album sales for the group exceeding 15 million world wide.
She has worked as a solo artist, releasing two albums as A Camp, has appeared on the tribute album to Serge Gainsbourg, worked with Manic Street Preachers (Send Away The Tigers) as well as rock group Sparklehorse's collaboration with Danger Mouse (Dark Night of the Soul) and is a member of The Cake Sale Collective.
Through her career Nina has shared the stage with Tom Jones for a unique rendition of 'Burning Down The House' and performed 'Whole Lotta Love' at Led Zeppelin's tribute show for the 2006 'Polar Music Prize'. She has enjoyed the spotlight with features in zines such as Pitchfork, The Guardian, Stereogum, The Independent, Time Out London, The New York Times, Billboard and many more.  Recently Nina has completed a reunion tour with The Cardigans and is looking forward to scheduling a US tour in support of her new album in 2014.
