I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

have seen the Balkums an number of times live... Steve's use of the
resonator guitar as a featured instrument, not just single use as a
"guitar effect", is unique, impressive and something I have not seen
before. on Balkun Brothers - ReDrova - New Release Review
may been a jerk sometimes but he let me hang at his shop at his house
in Brooklyn numerous times. I was 17. He didn't really know me at all.
He pulled out a Johnny Smith book first time I came over and put on a
record of 'Moonlight in Vermont'. He said here's the transcription bet
you don't know those chords or something like that. I immediately picked
up a guitar and played it back to him like it was on the record. He
left me alone after that. He sold me a guitar finally for pennies. Just
gave it to me. I left him alone after that. Haven't seen him since. Cool
dude though......if not misunderstood. Ken Smith surely owes some kudos
to Carl for "his" so-called neck through bass design. Chuck Corbisiero

awesome brother all the post and statements from you. Thanks.
Just a few folks know that Juke Boy Bonner was several years a part of
the Howling Wolf Gang. The Complete Circus around Howlin'Wolf he played
also in the band. Mister Arther Chester Burnett was even a straight man
he had all the time the last word and so everyone just had to listen.
Even Muddy Waters had to listen and when Little Walter Jacobs did'nt
kept his on the rules oh brother Hell broke out on Blues medley - JUKE BOY BONNER
this album and agree completely with your review. Filled with the kind
of sounds that make life all the better. Dara James has an amazing
quality to his voice and the guitar, sax and harp are top notch! My
favorite was "Old Soul". on Jon Spear Band - Old Soul - New Release Review
Blues Club is the best place to hear bands on the weekends and have
some great homemade food. Bobby and Maria make everyone feel welcome.
