I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Hoochie Coochie Man - Man of Oath

Man of Oath is a blues singer and songwriter born Othman Wahabi (26 September 1983) in Casablanca, Morocco and now based in Montreal, Canada. Solo or with a group, Man Of Oath offers an original sound that is both rustic and modern. It offers a dynamic performance with a mellow voice with a rockish touch, and a versatile guitar playing. His style is a fusion of Delta blues and rock n roll. In the summer of 2013, after the release of his first EP album "Blues From Another Time". Available on iTunes and Amazon the record got a good internet success and some of the songs gota worldwide airplay on some of the best shows such as Blues (Blues On The Marsh) England (A Hora Do Blues) in Brazil and (Confessing the Blues) in the United States. by the Summer 2013 Man of Oath signed with the Californian label Sunny Dragon Records to release his next album EP and tour the U.S by 2014. and will be doing also shows in Canada. Thanks to his dad. Man of Oath grew up listening to the greatest blues musicians such as John Lee Hooker, BB King, Muddy waters and Jimi Hendrix. At the age of 12 he formed his first group in Morocco Keops a Heavy Metal band with whom he did several shows and he also put together with his bandmates from Keops a rock blues band called Voodoo that knew a very good success locally. But it was after he left for Canada in 2005 that Man of Oath got back to the blues he loved mostly the delta blues and he listened all day to records from artists like John Hammond, RL Burnside, Junior Kimbrough and Seasick Steve. But the turning point was when he heard Steve Hill's album Solo recordings and saw him live that he took the decision to live with his music and become the artist he always wanted to be.
