CD submissions accepted! Guest writers always welcome!!

I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

                     -Performing Saturday, November 9-

(HAWAII) - The 13th Annual Kaua'i Hawaii Homegrown Music Festival welcomes blues guitar ace Solomon King, Saturday, November 9, 5 p.m., at Church of the Pacific Outdoor Amphitheater. Tickets/Info: Longtime Grateful Dead member Bill Kreutzman is among the headliners at the always-eclectic three-day lineup, which is family-friendly.
Solomon King is set to release his third album, Train on November 11. Go to for information on where to purchase Train

"Solomon King's new release "Train" is the sign of an artist on his way up. This is his best music so far--with great singing, strong songwriting, and a selfless maturity--and yet I sense even bigger things ahead. reminds me of early Dire Straits or The Band circa "Music From Big Pink," great music following an artistic vision all in service of each individual song."

The 2009 Grammy Awards entrant nominee was recently in the news for "The Phil Spector Incident," King's clever movie remake of the high-profile Phil Spector trial that also includes a ten-song companion soundtrack ("Live On") with a stripped-down, sensuous version of Spector's Wall of Sound classic, "Be My Baby." "With King, the blues are in good hands," writes Ashley Jude Collie of The Huffington Post. "His New-School Blues' includes some modern riffs on traditional blues, and beyond." BMans Blues Report states, "King's track 'Suicide' features hot guitar riffs that will blow your hair back."

In a review of King's new album, Train, John Vermilyea of Blues Underground states, "after listening to Train I must once again put his music into a category for which the term brilliant is first and foremost...packed with truly great tunes from beginning to end.
A really great album from one of the better singers, songwriters, and guitarists
performing nowadays. Highly recommended and thoroughly enjoyed."
