I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Got My Mojo Working - Lame Dudes

According to legend, Hannes and Snorri made their own guitars as young boys in Iceland. While herding sheep, they would use breaks to try to hone their skills, with little success! One day while they were practicing at Krosshólar í Mývatnssveit (Crosshills) the weather suddenly changed and they were engulfed in thick dark fog. Through thunder and lightning, Snorri and Hannes heard a dark voice say: "You are lame dudes" and a dark man wearing a black suit, a black hat and Ray Ban Wayfarers, suddenly appered. He spoke some strange language but the boys were able to understand him for some reason. He touched their homemade guitars and changed them into Fender Stratocasters and said: "Take these guitars and you will become the greatest blues players of all time! Then you can meet me following the 24th day of the full moon and I will collect payment!" Hannes and Snorri declined the Devil's offer and asked for their Homemades again and in doing so forced the Devil to look elsewhere for guitar heroes! Now many decades later Hannes and Snorri have formed the band Lame Dudes to fullfill their destiny of playing the blues in their own special way. The band has gone through some changes but with Hannes and Snorri, Kobbi (bass), Kolli (guitar), Fiffi (harmonica) and Niels (drums) form the band today.
