I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Blues Revue is Ready to Rock - and Smooch (and Hug)
Kissing Booth The Blues Revue, and so much more, is set to entertain this weekend at Shakori Hills Music Festival in Pittsboro, NC! The Revue will feature Ironing Board Sam, Pat Cohen , Boo Hanks,  Bubba Norwood, Ben Payton, Captain Luke, and Ron Hunter in the Cabaret Tent at 8pm on Saturday, April 20! We hope to see you if you're there - if not, never fear! You can listen to a live broadcast of the Blues Revue on WCOM in Carrboro. More details here.

One detail new to this year's Shakori is the Music Maker Kissing Booth! A hit at Byron Bay Bluesfest in Australia, it traveled back with Aaron and will make its American debut this weekend. Cheek Kisses, Smooches and Hugs are all available from artists, staff and volunteers. The Kissing Booth will be located at the Music Maker popcorn stand, so, if you're a bit skeptical of the kissing, you can still support Music Maker by buying some popcorn (and watching all the amusement at the kissing booth.)

All kissing, ahem kidding, aside - Music Maker strives to provide live performance at festivals like Shakori, a family-friendly celebration of music, dance, art and community. Our artists perform regularly at Shakori and we are so thrilled to be back. Stop by and see us - or tune in on 103.5 WCOM!

Support MMRF this Spring

This Spring, Music Maker needs your support - your donation will be matched if we can reach $80,000 by June 30th! This will allow us to help more artists in 2013 - furthering their careers, ensuring they have basic needs, and educating audiences about Our Southern Roots. Please give today!
Diggin': Cootie Stark & Neal Pattman
Aaron reflects on Kenny Burrell, 12-Bar Blues, and Cootie & Neal's strong friendship in this week's Diggin'. "John Henry" features both artists, a collaboration that serves as a great example of our efforts to foster a sense of community among the artists we work with. Check out the Diggin'!
Keep up with Music Maker's gigs
Do you need to boogie woogie? Perhaps all night long? See who's playing in your area! You never know when a Music Maker artist will be rolling through your town. Check out the Tour Calendar.
