CD submissions accepted! Guest writers always welcome!!

I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Blues Guitarist Tim Bastmeyer Teams With Seasoned Bassist Jerome Tucker for New CD
Set for release in Spring/Summer 2013, the new CD will feature the duo of Tim Bastmeyer on guitar and vocals and Jerome Tucker on bass and vocals.

To celebrate the impending release and yet to be announced tour dates, Bastmeyer and Tucker are offering two songs for free download from their ReverbNation page.

The First track, To The Moon features funky bass and vocals from Tucker and slick fretwork from Bastmeyer. The second track, Devil In Me features Bastmeyer's unmistakable vocals and guitar with tucker on bass.

Tim Bastmeyer is a Canadian blues singer/songwriter who started his musical career in 1986 and over the years has played and recorded with a number of different recording artists. He has performed throughout North America, as well as the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Scotland and England.  His most recent self-titled recording was released in late 2011 and was produced and engineered by Bastmeyer. resulting in significant airplay and reviews, reaching #34 on The Roots Report. Featuring Juno award winning blues artist Julian Fauth on piano, James Thomson on bass and Corey Richardson on drums, this release is much different than Bastmeyer’s 2010 recording,  a solo acoustic blues recording titled Graveyard. There are 11 tracks on the CD, featuring 10 originals and a cover of the blues classic ‘I’m Going Down’. It is a mix of hard blues with a rock edge and blues ballads.
When not out playing shows Bastmeyer can be found in Uxbridge, Ontario where he and his wife own and operate a music school and recording studio.
Jerome Tucker grew up in the Philadelphia area where he started playing music at the age of 7, playing drums at his local church and studying the violin and stand-up bass in school. During his time in the US Navy from 1983 to 1993 he had the opportunity to perform with Aaron and Ivan Neville throughout Alabama, New Orleans and the Southern USA. Tucker moved to Chicago in 1996 where he started hanging out at Buddy Guy’s Legends and had the opportunity to share the stage with artists such as Chico Banks, Lurrie Bell, John Primer, Lonnie Brooks, Son Seals, Koko Taylor, Larry McCray, Buddy Guy and more.
Prior to relocating to Canada in 2001, Tucker toured extensively throughout USA and Europe when he joined the Larry McCray Band. In Canada, Tucker continues to perform regularly in clubs throughout the Toronto area including performances at the Toronto Jazz Festival.  In 2010, Tucker won the Durham Region Music Society award for vocalist of the Year.
