I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Jack Casady was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award on October 22 at Bass Player Live!
“I must pay homage to Jack Casady as one of the towering figures in the comprehensive history of the bass. As far as original conception - well played, superbly applied - there are but few players with the kind of originality and power as Jack Casady,” said Antony Jackson. Casady was presented with the award which he took in touching tribute to wife his Diana. “When you find somebody in your life that grounds you it just makes everything better. It makes you play better, makes you think better and makes you a better human being,” said Casady.

Casady proceeded to offer anecdotes on the various paths throughout his career before performing a ferocious forty-five minute acoustic duo set with Hot Tuna mate, Jorma Kaukonen.
